The "Csepel Techno Oil and Gas Equipment Manufacturing Limited Liability Company" (CST-CSEPEL TECHNO Ltd.) is a Hungarian company founded with 100% private capital in 1991. Its main profile is the production of complete oil, gas and water production equipment (wellheads, x-mas tree equipments, gate valves, flanged connections, auxiliary drilling parts, etc.) for use under working pressure.
The main office and the factory of CST-CSEPEL TECHNO Ltd. are on Csepel Island, a district of Budapest, the capital of Hungary, in an industrial area with long traditions. The first established factory on Csepel Island in 1882. The factory-complex - named "WM Works" after the founder - became one of the largest companies of its kind in Europe in the first half of the century. In the four decades following Word War II, the nationalized company - under the name "Csepel Iron and Metal Works" - was the largest industrial complex in the country with a production program ranging from metallurgy to machine production.
The plant now owned by CST-CSEPEL TECHNO Ltd. has been producing parts, equipment and flanged connections for the oil industry for more, than 40 years now. The wellheads used at the drilling of wells in Hungary (with rated working pressures of 3.000, 5.000 and 10.000 psi) have almost all had been produced here, in a quality meeting the API requirements. The many years of our Customers' experience have proved that the parts and wellhead assemblies manufactured by CST-CSEPEL TECHNO Ltd. are operating reliably, without faults not only at oil- or natural gas producing wells, but at wells prepared for secondary production, too, where the equipment is in contact with "sour" gases (CO2) without any damages, ensuring continuous production.
The management of CST-CSEPEL TECHNO Ltd., in addition to fulfilling the domestic demand wishes to increase its exports significantly. In order to achieve this:
- to improve the manufacturing conditions the plant was fully renewed, including the general overhaul of all machinery and equipment. New, advanced production equipment, test- and measurement equipment, gauges, and computers helping in the design, registration and administrative work were – and are continuously being – purchased and installed.
- a comprehensive and complex quality assurance system was introduced based on international standards and recommendations on the production facilities and the products, which ensures the fulfillment of the rigorous international requirements.
The modern technical standards, the accumulated manufacturing and operating experience and the quality assurance system based on international standards guarantee the high quality of the company's products. This guarantee is included in the main thesis of quality and business policy of CST-CSEPEL TECHNO Ltd. as follows:
